The butter croissant is the quickest thing to order with a morning coffee and the easiest to pair with anything, from espresso to matcha. The chocolate croissant asks for a stronger coffee, so the sweetness and the bitterness balance each other. Both are on the counter from the morning, and both are at their best in the first hours, while the layers are still crisp.
One rule rarely fails: the stronger the coffee, the sweeter the dessert may be. Brownie with espresso, carrot cake with filter or batch brew, croissant with cappuccino, cookie with iced coffee. With a matcha latte pick something mild, a butter croissant for instance, so it does not run over the grassy taste of the matcha. When a matcha cheesecake turns up in the display, do not wait too long, it goes fast.

If coffee is not an option, hot chocolate (320 RSD), cocoa, tea or a fresh orange juice sit well next to a slice. A Russian honey cake made of thin honey layers stacked with cream and left overnight to soften. Soft, lightly caramelised and not overly sweet. Ours is 500 RSD.
