Matcha is Japanese green tea ground into a fine powder. Unlike regular tea, which is steeped and removed, with matcha you drink the whole leaf — so both the flavour and the effect are fuller. It is naturally rich in antioxidants, and the combination of caffeine and L-theanine gives calm, gradual energy that lasts for hours, without jitters or a crash. The taste is lightly grassy and sweet, with a recognisable umami note.
We prepare our matcha fresh, right before serving, with a balanced ratio of matcha to milk — so you get a creamy texture and a pleasant, not overly bitter taste. With coconut, oat, almond or soy milk it becomes a fully plant-based option. Enjoy it slowly in our green corner in Dorćol, or order online.
Summer is when iced matcha is at its best: iced matcha latte over ice, with fruit if you like — strawberry, mango, blueberry or raspberry. For a step further, try the signature cold foam matcha: iced matcha topped with creamy cold foam and a fruit flavour. Proper summer refreshment in Dorćol, every day until 8 PM.
The gentle bitterness of matcha pairs beautifully with something sweet from our display: butter and chocolate croissants, cookies, brownie, carrot cake and lemon tart. There is also a vegan choco tart, so matcha with plant milk plus dessert can be fully plant-based. And when the matcha cheesecake shows up in the display, don't wait too long — it goes fast.
