A coffee shop in Dorćol

Zrnce is a small specialty coffee shop in Dorćol, at Bulevar despota Stefana 83. Coffee from freshly roasted beans, matcha, iced drinks and a display of homemade cakes, in a room built for staying longer than one cup. Open every day until 8 pm.

Where we are in Dorćol

Bulevar despota Stefana is the main street of upper Dorćol and we are at number 83, in the row of buildings along the boulevard itself. Skadarlija, Trg republike and Kalemegdan are a few minutes on foot, so Zrnce works both as a stop while you walk the old part of the city and as a coffee on the way. Trams and buses run along the boulevard and the stop is right next to us. If you arrive by car, the surrounding streets have metered street parking.

What the room is like

The bar by the entrance
The coffee is made in front of you, so you can ask what is on filter today.
Wooden tables and corners
A few smaller corners where you can pull back from the boulevard, and seats for staying a while.
Greenery and pampas grass
The room is light and soft, with plenty of green and corners that photograph well.
For work and for company
It works equally as a morning coffee stop, a place to work on a laptop, and an easy afternoon with friends.

A butter croissant in the morning, carrot cake or medovik in the afternoon. The whole display is on the desserts page.
Afternoon without caffeine

When the day slows down
The menu also holds an Aperol Spritz, beer and a glass of wine, for an afternoon that has stretched out.

Coffee to take away

The coffee is made once you order, so you leave with a hot cup in hand, and everything in the display travels too. What survives the walk is on the coffee to go page. The map and all contact details are on the location page.

Why a specialty coffee shop

The difference from an ordinary cafe is in the bean and in the preparation. Our coffee arrives freshly roasted, it is ground right before brewing, and the dose and extraction time are measured, so the cup tastes of the bean rather than only of the roast. Next to espresso there is filter: batch brew, V60 and cold brew, three ways to make the same bean sound different. If you do not drink coffee there is matcha, and if you arrive with children there is babyccino.
